A Celebration of Creativity at the Art Fair
A Vibrant Gathering of Artists and Art Lovers
This past Saturday, art lovers and creatives gathered for a local First Saturday Art Fair at DeGallery Studio and Gallery of College Station, Texas, celebrating local talent, live music, and community engagement. Equine and wildlife art was presented by several Visual Arts Society of Bryan-College Station artists in attendance.
The event featured original displays of artwork and handmade items, live demonstrations, along with the smooth sounds of a live jazz band, generously sponsored by DeGallery. The music added a lively and sophisticated ambiance, making the fair an even more enjoyable experience for all who attended.
Wendy Keeney-Kennicutt’s Role in Supporting the Art
Wendy Keeney-Kennicutt, President of the Visual Art Society of Bryan-College Station, played an active role throughout the day, warmly introducing inquiring artists to the Society and sharing valuable information about its programs and events. She also helped spread the word about the growing Aggieland Art Trail, offering visitors beautifully designed brochures highlighting the many art destinations in the region.
A Showcase of Talent and Inspiration
In addition to her leadership and outreach, Wendy showcased her own excellent watercolor paintings, drawing admiration from fellow artists and attendees alike. Her booth was a standout, featuring colorful, expressive watercolors that demonstrated her talent and passion for the medium.
A Thriving Arts Community
With creativity flowing through every corner and the rich melodies of live jazz setting the perfect tone, the Art Fair was a true testament to the thriving arts community in the Brazos Valley. The event fostered connections, inspired creativity, and provided a space for artists and visitors alike to celebrate the power of artistic expression.
